For Bobbi Brown’s exclusive dinner and product launch at Lacuna, I designed a lighting scheme that emphasized warmth, elegance, and skin tone fidelity. Soft, diffuse practicals complemented the space’s existing globe fixtures and created a flattering, inviting glow across the space, enhancing natural complexions—key to the brand’s identity. Makeup stations featured high-CRI task lighting for precision application, while ambient lighting showcased the product displays without glare. The event featured product rooms and we added task lighting for photography. The soft and accented lighting was implemented enabling makeup artists to blend and match skin tones accurately. Additionally, by color testing and focusing on balance we created ideal moments throughout the evening. Existing overhead orbs and bounce off white walls maintained a consistent color temperature, ensuring accurate product presentation and a luxurious, welcoming atmosphere. For the dinner party we adjusted the space’s exterior courtyard fixtures, while adding neutral washes to reinforce the candlelight treatment across the tables.
